Tommy's primary Strat is a '66. His backup Strat is a '69 NOS reissue refitted with an original '62 impedance and inductance matched neck position pickup.

When Steve Spirn sits in with the band, he plays a '79 tobacco sunburst hardtail with the neck stripped of the polyurethane and refinished with french lacquer.

Tommy uses Burnished Nickel strings & Randy uses Bright Flats

Tommy uses GHS Burnished Nickel Rockers, medium gauge, 11, 14, 18, 28, 35, 50. They have a slightly mellower, more resonant sound than all the other strings he has tried.

Randy uses GHS Bright Flats Heavy Gauge because they make the bass sound like a bass and they sound great muted as evidenced on the song No One Left To Lie To.
